This was made by cutting the base shape from clear glass and overlaying with the green, with sodium bicarbonate dust sprinkled between the layers to create tiny champagne bubbles. The piece was heated in the kiln to 790 C to fuse it, annealed for 2h and then cooled. It was then placed in a mould and re-heated to 640 C to soften it enough to slump into the mould and develop the curve, before being annealed and cooled again.
